Tips and limitations
- Keep this tab open while processing. You can work in other windows meanwhile.
- Speed depends on your GPU. Without hardware HEVC decoding it gets noticeably slower.
- Output is H.264 up to 4K and HEVC above. Audio is copied unchanged. GoPro telemetry (GPS/gyro) is not carried over.
- 10-bit sources are processed in 8-bit – the same thing most editors do when exporting to H.264.
- Every output frame carries a small "dive.nordrift.dk" tag in the corner so others can find the tool. It can be switched off under Output.
- Everything is local. No files are uploaded and no cookies are set – only an anonymous, cookieless page-view count.

That small corner tag is how other divers find this free tool – it is the only "marketing" it has. You are free to switch it off. If the tool saves you an evening of color grading, a donation keeps it free, ad-free and improving.
Browser not supported
This tool needs Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer.
It uses WebCodecs for hardware video decoding and the File System Access API to write straight to your disk. Firefox, Safari and mobile browsers do not support that yet.
