A free DeepColors alternative for dive video
DeepColors is a capable app. If you have hit its limits – the watermark, the paid tier, the phone-only workflow – here is what the Nordrift browser tool does differently, and where DeepColors still wins.
DeepColors in short
DeepColors analyses a clip automatically when you open it, supports keyframe grading and can export .cube LUTs. The Premium subscription removes the watermark and unlocks 4K and ProRes export.

When to stay with DeepColors
If you want keyframes, LUT export for a Resolve or Final Cut workflow, or you edit on an iPad, DeepColors Premium is the more complete editor. For a free, automatic, full-resolution fix of a whole dive, use the browser tool.
Switching takes two minutes
- Copy the clips to a computer (or open the tool on Android).
- Drop them into the app.
- Press Start – the output is a normal MP4 next to the original.
Facts about DeepColors come from its public store page and website in October 2026 and may change. DeepColors is a trademark of its owner; Nordrift is not affiliated.
Frequently asked
Is Nordrift really free, unlike DeepColors?
Yes. There is no paid tier. The tool is funded by voluntary donations, and the optional corner tag is the only 'marketing' it does.
Can I use it on my phone like an app?
Android with Chrome works today; iPhone with Safari on iOS 17 or newer is in beta. On a computer it is faster and handles 4K60 and 5.3K.
Can I import my DeepColors results into Nordrift?
You can run any MP4 through it, but correcting already-corrected footage over-saturates. Use the original clips.
