A free AquaColorFix alternative for dive video
AquaColorFix is a capable app. If you have hit its limits – the watermark, the paid tier, the phone-only workflow – here is what the Nordrift browser tool does differently, and where AquaColorFix still wins.
AquaColorFix in short
AquaColorFix corrects underwater photos and videos with one tap and offers named presets. The free version saves with a watermark and limits video; the Pro in-app purchase removes the watermark and allows unlimited video exports.
What Nordrift does differently

|---|---|---|
| Price | Free with watermark; Pro in-app purchase | Free |
| Watermark | Yes until Pro | Small tag, free to switch off |
| Runs on | iOS, Android and Mac app | Chrome/Edge on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android; Safari iOS 17+ (beta) |
| Resolution | Phone-limited; Mac app for larger files | Up to 5.3K and 4K60, 10-bit, full resolution |
| Batch | – | Whole dive at once, each clip analysed separately |
| Privacy | On device | Nothing leaves your computer |
When to stay with AquaColorFix
If you mostly correct photos, AquaColorFix does that and we do not (yet). For video – especially 4K60 or a whole dive – the browser tool is free, full resolution and batch.
Switching takes two minutes
- Copy the clips to a computer (or open the tool on Android).
- Drop them into the app.
- Press Start – the output is a normal MP4 next to the original.
Facts about AquaColorFix come from its public store page and website in October 2026 and may change. AquaColorFix is a trademark of its owner; Nordrift is not affiliated.
Frequently asked
Is Nordrift really free, unlike AquaColorFix?
Yes. There is no paid tier. The tool is funded by voluntary donations, and the optional corner tag is the only 'marketing' it does.
Can I use it on my phone like an app?
Android with Chrome works today; iPhone with Safari on iOS 17 or newer is in beta. On a computer it is faster and handles 4K60 and 5.3K.
Can I import my AquaColorFix results into Nordrift?
You can run any MP4 through it, but correcting already-corrected footage over-saturates. Use the original clips.
