How to choose

  • You have a computer and want full-resolution, free results for a whole dive: Nordrift. It is the only free option here that runs on the GPU at 4K60 and 5.3K without a watermark fee.
  • You only ever edit on the phone and want one tap in the app: AquaColorFix or DeepColors are polished; budget for the in-app purchase if you want clean exports.
  • You want keyframes, LUT export and a timeline: DeepColors Premium on Mac, or DaVinci Resolve if you are willing to learn grading.
  • You want fully open source and do not mind CPU speed: Dive Color Corrector.

Where our tool is not the best choice

  • Firefox is not supported, because it lacks WebCodecs.
  • Photos are not supported yet – it is a video tool.
  • Dolby Vision HDR clips from iPhone must be exported as SDR first.
  • If you want to adjust individual keyframes, use a timeline editor.

Frequently asked

Which underwater color correction app is free without a watermark?

Nordrift's browser tool is free and the small tag in the corner can be switched off at no cost. Dive Color Corrector (open source, desktop) is free without a watermark. Most phone apps keep the watermark until you pay.

Do these apps upload my footage?

The phone apps process on the device. Nordrift processes in the browser on your own graphics card and never uploads. For online tools, check the privacy policy – Vayce's page does not state where processing happens.

Which one handles 4K 60 fps?

Nordrift processes 4K60 and 5.3K at full resolution on the GPU. DeepColors offers 4K export with Premium. Phone apps are limited by the phone.
